The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), University of Abuja, Professor Sani Mohammed Adam, now a Senior Advocate of Nigeria(SAN).
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), University of Abuja, Professor Sani Mohammed Adam, has been conferred with the prestigious award of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee on Friday 13th November 2020 elevated Professor Adam and 71 other successful applicants to the rank of SAN usually awarded to members of the legal profession who have distinguished themselves as advocates and academics.
Adam will be joining the league of brand new senior advocates to be sworn into the inner bar on 14th December 2020, according to the Director of Press and Information of the Supreme Court, Dr Festus Akande.
The Vice-Chancellor, University of Abuja, Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na' Allah, congratulated Professor Adam, saying he is much deserving of the award.
"I am very proud of our colleague, it is a great honor to the great UofA, and I commend him for his brilliance, his doggedness and exceptional work that earned him the SAN, " Professor Na'Allah said. According the Vice-Chancellor, UofA will continue to create an enabling environment for its staff to grow and achieve their dreams and aspirations, as well as celebrate them for their various successes. He charged the DVC to work harder to defend and promote the legal profession which he noted had given the new SAN the privilege to be ranked among distinguished men in the country.
